Dr
James Trott is a Plastic Surgeon with 25 years experience in private
practice in South Australia.
In addition to his private practice in Cosmetic Surgery, he spent 15
years as the Deputy Head of the Australian Cranio Facial Unit with
appointments at the AWCH and RAH, resigning these positions at the end
of 1996.
He has presented over 50 papers at Scientific meetings, the most
prestigious of which was as an invited panellist at the Surgery of
Bilateral cleft lip and nose at the 12th Congress of the International
Confederation for Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery held in
San Francisco in 1999.
He was also an invited speaker at the Monash Aesthetic Workshop in 1999
presenting an Analysis of the face in relation to rhinoplasty.
To date, Dr Trott has authored or co-authored 24 articles which have
been published in International medical journals as well as authored
chapters of two text books - most notable in two chapters in the Atlas
of Craniofacial and Cleft surgery edited by Janus Bardach. These
chapters were on the synchronous correction of the cleft lip and nose
and demonstrated techniques evolved by Dr Trott and which are now being
used internationally.
Dr Trott has taken this expertise in facial feature analysis and the
surgery of facial malformations and used it to augment his cosmetic
surgery practice, including all aspects of facial plastic surgery.
Dr Trott is a member of the Australian Society of Plastic Surgeons, the
Australian Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery and the International
Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery.
