OUR PHILOSOPHY

SURGICAL
Plastic Surgery evolved to improve form and function of the face and body. Broadly speaking it began in reconstruction of tissues following injury, birth defects, or where tissue has had to be removed in the treatment of disease processes. The natural extension of this has seen the evolution of Cosmetic Plastic Surgery. Using the principles that are painstakingly taught to Plastic Surgeons (fine tissue handling and attention to detail) alterations to unwanted face and body features can be carried out with little risk and predictable outcomes.

Our philosophy is to offer this service around careful assessment and planning and within a comprehensive caring environment. The more time spent in assessment and preparation, the more likely the outcome will match the patient's expectations.

NON-SURGICAL
Plastic surgery is a discipline devoted to improving form and function. The paradox is that all cosmetic surgery will result in scars which by their nature are undesirable. In facelifting, cosmetic eyelid surgery and other facial feature corrective surgery including that of the nose, ears, chin and jaws, the scars can be placed in such a way that they are usually undetectable. However, quite often facial scarring is due to injury or non-cosmetic surgical procedures such as skin cancer removal. Where the scar presents with a colour discrepancy or a break in the contour of a facial feature such as a lip or an eyebrow this may be corrected by cosmetic tattooing. Furthermore, in breast surgery such as breast reduction and breast uplift, scars will be left around the nipple and once faded they appear abnormally white in colour. At The Trott Cosmetic and Plastic Surgery Centre we have the facility to tattoo pigment into such scars, significantly reducing their visibility. In addition to this, The Trott Cosmetic and Plastic Surgery Centre also offers a comprehensive range of physician strength skincare treatments and anti-wrinkle programmes which can be integrated into a personalised protocol with or without surgery.
